1. Bihar clocked an economic growth rate of 9.92 per cent during financial year 2013-14, while its per capita Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) shot up to Rs. 17,294 during this period from Rs 15,931 in 2012-13. The figures were revealed by the Bihar Economic Survey 2014-15 laid by state Finance Minister Bijendra Yadav in the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

बिहार विधानसभा में वर्ष 2014-15 का आर्थिक सर्वेक्षण पेश करने के बाद वित्त मंत्री बिजेंद्र प्रसाद यादव ने बताया कि वित्तीय वर्ष 2013-14 के दौरान बिहार का विकास दर 9.92 प्रतिशत रहा तथा प्रति व्यक्ति सकल राज्य घरेलू उत्पाद (जीएसडीपी) वर्ष 2012-13 के 15,931 रूपये की तुलना में वित्तीय वर्ष 2013-14 में बढकर 17,294 रूपये हो गयी।

2. The Asian Football Confederation selected the United Arab Emirates over a bid from Iran to host the 2019 Asia Cup. AFC president Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa said there was no doubt the UAE was better equipped than Iran to host the continent's biggest football event.

संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (यूएई) को सर्वसम्मति से 2019 एशिया कप की मेजबानी के लिए चुना गया। एएफसी प्रमुख शेख सलमान बिन इब्राहिम अल खलीफा के अनुसार यूएई ने सर्वसम्मति से यह अधिकार हासिल किया। इस टूर्नामेंट की मेजबानी के लिए यूएई और ईरान के बीच मुकाबला था।

3. India and Mauritius signed five agreements to give new momentum to bilateral cooperation. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and his Mauritian counterpart Sir Anerood Jugnuth. The agreements signed between both sides included one on Ocean Economy. The MoUs for improvement in Sea and Air Transportation Facilities at Agalega Island in Mauritius, programme for cultural co-operation between the two countries for the next three years, co-operation in the field of Traditional System of Medicine and Homeopathy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Mauritius on two day visit.

मॉरीशस पहुंचे प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मॉरीशस के प्रधानमंत्री अनिरुद्ध जगन्नाथ के साथ पांच समझौतों पर मुहर लगाई। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने सामुद्रिक सहयोग, खेती से जुड़े उद्योग, सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान, परंपरागत औषधि और होम्योपैथी के अलावा आमों के निर्यात पर जोर देने के मुद्दों पर समझौता किया है। मोदी दो दिन की मॉरीशस यात्रा पर हैं।

4. Retirement fund body EPFO 's trustees decided to raise the age limit from 58 to 60 years for vesting of pension. The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation's apex decision making body, the Central Board of Trustees (CBT), which is headed by the Labour Minister took this decision. At present, a formal sector worker covered under the EPS-95 can make contributions towards pension scheme till the age of 58 years and can claim pension thereafter.

कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन (ईपीएफओ) के ट्रस्टियों ने पेंशन के लिए आयु सीमा 58 से बढ़ाकर 60 साल करने को मंजूरी दे दी है। श्रम मंत्री की अध्यक्षता वाले केंद्रीय ट्रस्टी बोर्ड (सीबीटी) की बैठक में इस संबंध में फैसला लिया गया। फिलहाल संगठित क्षेत्र का कर्मी पेंशन की खातिर कर्मचारी पेंशन स्कीम (ईपीएस-95) में 58 साल की उम्र तक अंशदान कर सकता है।

5. IMF raised its growth forecast for the FY 2015 to 7.2 per cent, even as it called for steps to revitalise the investment cycle and accelerate structural reforms in the country. In its annual assessment report for the country, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) also said that the growth rate would further accelerate to 7.5 percent in the next fiscal, 2015-16.

इंटरनेशनल मॉनिटरी फंड (आईएमएफ) की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए अभी कई चुनौतियां मौजूद हैं। आईएमएफ की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार नए फॉर्मूले के हिसाब से वित्त वर्ष 2015 में भारत की जीडीपी 7.2 फीसदी पर रहेगी। वहीं वित्त वर्ष 2016 में भारत की जीडीपी 7.5 फीसदी पर पहुंच पाएगी।

6. Retirement fund body EPFO has formed a six-member expert panel to consider the proposal of facilitating housing to its subscribers. The expert committee will consider the proposal for facilitating housing to subscribers of Employees' Pension Fund and other issues. The committee, to be chaired by Manish Gupta, will submit its report within a month. 

सेवानिवृत्ति निधि निकाय ईपीएफओ ने अपने ग्राहकों के लिए आवास की सुविधा के प्रस्ताव पर विचार करने के लिए एक छह सदस्यीय विशेषज्ञ पैनल का गठन किया है। विशेषज्ञ समिति कर्मचारी पेंशन फंड और अन्य मुद्दों के ग्राहकों के लिए आवास की सुविधा के लिए प्रस्ताव पर विचार करेगी। मनीष गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता वाली यह समिति एक महीने के भीतर अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करेंगी।

7. During the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi India offered US $500 million concessional line of credit to Mauritius for key infrastructure projects.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की यात्रा के दौरान भारत ने महत्वपूर्ण अवसंरचना परियोजनाओं के लिए मॉरीशस को 500 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर का रियायती ऋण देने की पेशकश की है।

8. Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara became the first player to score four successive one-day international centuries as his side beat Scotland at the World Cup. The 37-year-old hit 124 in a total of 363-9 in Hobart, to go with his previous tons in the tournament against Bangladesh, England and Australia.

श्रीलंका के कुमार संगकारा ने वनडे क्रिकेट में इतिहास रच दिया। संगकारा एकदिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में लगातार चार शतक लगाने वाले दुनिया के पहले बल्लेबाज बन गए। यही नहीं वह किसी एक विश्व कप में चार सैकड़े जड़ने वाले भी पहले बल्लेबाज हैं। संगकारा ने स्काटलैंड के खिलाफ 124 रन की पारी खेलकर यह रिकार्ड बनाया। उन्होंने इससे पहले बांग्लादेश के खिलाफ 105, इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ 117 और आस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ 104 रन बनाये थे।

9. Life Insurance Corporation, the country's biggest insurer committed to invest Rs.1.5 lakh crore in Indian railways over the next five years. According to the terms of the memorandum of understanding signed by the two organisations, the railways will use the funds to augment its capacity.

सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम (एलआईसी) ने भारतीय रेल की वाणिज्यिक तौर पर व्यवहार्य विभिन्न परियोजनाओं में 1.5 लाख करोड़ रुपये निवेश करने की प्रति प्रतिबद्धता जताई है। यह निवेश पांच साल की अवधि में किया जाएगा। भारतीय रेल और एलआईसी के बीच समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने के बाद इसके अध्यक्ष एसके राय ने कहा कि भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम अगले पांच साल के दौरान प्रति वर्ष औसतन 30,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य के बांड खरीदेगी।

10. The World Bank would provide Rs.1,376 crore to create infrastructure in the power sector in Tripura. State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) would execute the World Bank-aided projects in the state which shares its border with Bangladesh.

पूर्वोत्तर राज्य त्रिपुरा में बिजली क्षेत्र में अवसंरचना तैयार करने के लिए विश्व बैंक 1,376 करो़ड रूपये की सहायता देगा। सरकारी कंपनी पॉवर ग्रिड कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड (पीजीसीआईएल) राज्य में विश्व बैंक की सहायता से चलने वाली परियोजना का कार्यान्वयन करेगी।

11. The government approved appointment of nine Executive Directors (EDs) in various public sector banks, including UCO Bank, BoI and Canara Bank. The government has appointed Charan Singh as Executive Director in UCO Bank. R.P. Marathe, a General Manager with Bank of Baroda, has been appointed as Executive Director in Bank of India. Harideesh Kumar B, at present a General Manager with Vijaya Bank, will take over as Executive Director at Canara Bank.

सरकार ने सार्वजनि‍क क्षेत्र के नौ बैंकों के कार्यकारी नि‍देशकों (ईडी) को नि‍युक्त कि‍या है। इन बैंकों में यूको बैंक, बैंक ऑफ इंडि‍या, और केनरा बैंक शामिल हैं। यूको बैंक के अनुसार सरकार ने चरण सिंह को बैंक के कार्यकारी नि‍देशक के पद पर नि‍युक्त कि‍या है। सरकार ने आर.पी. मराठे को बैंक ऑफ इंडि‍या के नए कार्यकारी नि‍देशक के रूप में नि‍युक्त कि‍या है। इससे पहले वह बैंक ऑफ बडौदा में महानि‍देशक के पद पर थे। वहीं, हरि‍देश कुमार. बी को केनरा बैंक का ईडी नि‍युक्त कि‍या गया है।
